Start 2025 with SIMPLICITY

Can you believe we’re over the finish line of 2024? Whether you’re celebrating big wins or just glad you made it through, there’s still time to set the tone for an amazing 2025.

Focus & Flow: Your End-of-Year Power Combo

This time of year can get a little…chaotic. Holiday aftermath, New Year hype, and that sneaky voice whispering, “You’ll start fresh January 1st, right?” (Spoiler: That voice is lying!)

Here’s the deal: Ending the year with intention isn’t about cramming or overhauling your life in 48 hours. It’s about getting laser-focused.

Picture this: instead of coasting (or crashing) into the new year, you lean in with Focus and Flow. Focus helps you zero in on what really matters. Flow gets you in that groove where everything clicks. Together, they’re like rocket fuel for wrapping up 2024 and setting the stage for an amazing 2025.

When you channel Focus and Flow now, you’ll close out 2024 like a champ and set the stage for an amazing 2025. No whimpers here—just a strong, confident finish.

But here’s the thing: You don’t have to have your systems, resolutions, or goals perfectly mapped out by January 1st.. That’s where Planuary comes in.

Welcome to Planuary!

Let’s be honest: trying to have all your ducks in a row by January 1st is overrated (and stressful).

Instead, let’s make January your Planuary—a month to refine your plans, adjust your systems, and figure out what works for you. It’s not a race; it’s a journey.

Planuary is about being thoughtful and intentional—giving yourself the space to test ideas, adjust strategies, and build momentum, not rushing into resolutions or perfect plans.

This isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress. By February, you’ll have solid systems that actually work for you.

Word of the Year

As we wrap up 2024 and start looking ahead to 2025, I want to share a little tradition that’s been a game-changer for me: choosing a Word of the Year.

Instead of setting rigid resolutions that tend to fizzle by February, picking a word gives you something flexible, inspiring, and powerful to guide your year.

Why a Word of the Year Matters

Every January, there’s a rush to set goals, make resolutions, and try to fix everything at once. (Been there, done that. 😅) But resolutions can be rigid and overwhelming—like a to-do list in disguise.

A Word of the Year? It’s different. Think of it as your North Star—a guiding principle to anchor your decisions, focus your energy, and keep you aligned with what truly matters. It’s a single idea you can return to again and again—no matter what life throws your way.

It clarifies your priorities. Your word can help you make decisions and focus on what truly matters. Life gets messy. A Word of the Year cuts through the noise and reminds you of what you’re aiming for.
It provides flexibility. Unlike a specific resolution (“I’ll go to the gym five times a week”), your word can apply to every part of your life—work, relationships, health, personal growth. Instead of rigid goals, your word becomes a flexible guide. It grows with you.
It creates intention. It’s not about what you’re doing; it’s about how and why. Your word creates a lens to view the whole year with purpose.

My 2025 Word of the Year:

For 2025, my word is Simplify. I’m choosing it because, let’s face it, life can feel overwhelming. Over the past year, I’ve realised how often we overcomplicate things—our goals, our schedules, even our thoughts.

It’s not about doing less or aiming smaller—it’s about clearing the clutter, focusing on what matters, and finding ease in how I move through the world.
Simplifying isn’t about shrinking your life; it’s about clearing the clutter so you can make room for what matters most.

This year, I’m asking:

How can I simplify my work to focus on impact over busyness?
How can I simplify my routines to make space for rest and creativity?
How can I simplify my mindset to stop overthinking and start enjoying the moment?

SIMPLIFY is my anchor—a word that will keep me grounded in Focus and Flow, so I can show up fully and intentionally in 2025.

Simplify aligns with Focus. I want to cut distractions and focus on the essential.

Simplify unlocks Flow. When life isn’t weighed down by unnecessary complications, I can find ease and momentum.
Whether it’s how I structure my days, tackle big projects, or even manage my thoughts, Simplify will be my reminder to keep things clear, light, and intentional.

What’s Your Word of the Year?

Do you have a word for 2025 yet? If not, this is your sign to pick one! It’s a small but mighty way to set your intentions and stay anchored to what matters.

Ask yourself:

What do I want more of this year?
What would help me thrive?
What’s something I need to let go of?

Your word doesn’t have to be fancy—it just has to feel right. And I’d love to hear what you choose! Hit reply and let me know your word and why it speaks to you.

Finish Strong, Start Simple

The end of the year doesn’t have to be a mad dash—or a slow fade. It can be the start of something exciting.

Whether you spend the next few days tying up loose ends or simply reflecting on what you’ve learned this year, know this: You’re already doing amazing. Finishing strong doesn’t mean finishing perfect—it means finishing with intention.

So, let’s close out 2024 with Focus, Flow, and a whole lot of excitement for what’s ahead. Here’s to a successful 2025—one step, one plan, one flow state at a time.
